SERVICE MANAGER/WORKSHOP MANAGER

About the role We are seeking an experienced and driven Service Manager/Workshop Manager to oversee the day‑to‑day operations of our busy automotive workshop at our Bibra Lake location. In this full‑time role, you will be responsible for managing a team of 3 skilled technicians, ensuring efficient workflow and high‑quality service delivery to our valued customers. What you're going to be doing Manage and lead a team of automotive technicians, delegating tasks and monitoring performance Oversee the workshop operations, including job scheduling, parts ordering, and quality control Liaise with customers to understand their needs and provide timely, effective, and transparent communication Identify and implement process improvements to enhance workshop productivity and efficiency Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and safety standards Prepare and analyse workshop reports, budgets, and KPIs to inform decision‑making Foster a positive, collaborative, and customer‑centric work environment What we’re looking for Extensive experience (3+ years) in a similar service manager or workshop manager role within the automotive industry Strong technical knowledge and understanding of automotive systems and repair procedures Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team Exceptional communication and customer service skills, with a focus on building lasting relationships Proficient in workshop management software, inventory control, and financial reporting Demonstrated problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement Relevant trade qualifications or certifications in the automotive field What we offer At The Yard WA, we are committed to providing a supportive and rewarding work environment for our employees.
