We specialise in providing funding to biotechs and other lifesciences companies and are we now expanding into new industries, which is why we are seeking an experienced R&D tax consultant to join our growing team.We are a lean, fast-paced, dynamic team seeking to offer clients fast, responsive service which underpins our brand promise of aspiring to be the number one R&D finance company in Australia.Endpoints Capital operates Australia wide, and is backed by a Sydney-based family office having recently grown and sold several very successful healthcare and life sciences businesses.Selection CriteriaEducation / QualificationsAppropriate tertiary qualifications in either commerce/business or a science discipline, ideally a postgraduate degree or demonstrated equivalent experience and/or trainingExperience3 to 5 years in R&D tax consulting or similar fieldCandidates with ‘Big 4’ or mid-tier accounting firm experience will be highly regardedKey areas of responsibilityLiaise with clients to perform initial onboarding assessment and data gatheringUndertake AML / CTF screening checks on new lending applicationsPerform credit assessments on new lending applications, including preparation of credit memorandum for submission to internal credit committeeEngaging with the client’s external R&D tax advisor to process loan applications and obtain necessary background informationEngage with Endpoints Capital’s own advisor panel for reviewing client applications and documenting any exceptions to standard lending policies for internal approvalReviewing client R&D claims, including supporting calculations, AusIndustry registrations, contemporaneous evidence and providing an assessment of the quality of submissions by the client and their advisorReview and monitor compliance for existing customer borrowersAssist with ongoing loan book management including associated loan statement production, and ongoing accounting for existing loansAttendance to relevant industry trade shows, conferences and business development eventsKnowledge and skillsStrong working knowledge of the R&D tax incentive regime, including relevant legislationApply R&D legislation to specific technical and expenditure aspects of projectsProvide guidance on R&D governance and documentation requirementsA proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while committing to continuous personal and business improvementExcellent oral and written communication skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholdersHigh level analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skillsYour application will include the following questions:
