Please let us know if this will present any challenges when you email your application.The RoleReporting to the Compliance Lead, the Compliance Officer will drive the development of an improved Compliance culture throughout the charity whilst ensuring that they adhere to all relevant regulations and laws.Key responsibilities will include:Acting as a knowledge expert on compliance and promoting a culture of compliance within the charity in relation to data protection, fundraising and the provision of support services, by the provision of advice, guidance, internal communications and training.Assist in the development of new training materials and communications relating to Data Protection and Compliance including overseeing the relevant intranet pages.Help to review existing processes and policies and assist in the updating/development of these, along with tracking changes in the external environment that may have an impact on these policies and procedures.Overseeing, managing and responding to queries from the departments different inboxes including those for Data Protection, individual data rights requests and data breaches.Project managing a number of key actions from an external review of the organisation s Data Protection practices.Assist the Compliance Lead and Associate Director of Legal and Governance in producing ad hoc and annual compliance reports along with any annual submissions to regulators, 3rd parties or external bodies.About YouYou will have experience in, or be able to demonstrate:Knowledge of Data Protection and willingness to learn in other areas of complianceExperience of working in charities, not-for profit or healthcare sectorExperience of senior stakeholder management and confidence in communicating with senior stakeholdersStrong organisational skillsDesire to learn and develop skills and knowledge relating to data protection and complianceStrong sense of resilience and the ability to stay calm under pressureAbility to manage evolving priorities and ensure projects are delivered on timeAccuracy and a keen eye for detailTo fulfil the role, you must be a resident of the UK and have the right to work in the UK.When you click to apply, you will be able to see the full responsibilities and person specification for furtherinformation on the role.Please submit your CV, (including details of your current address), and a supporting statement of no more than two pages, demonstrating how you meet the person specification and what you bring to the role in terms of your skills and experience.
