Senior Lecturer – Co Director of Medical Education (South West Sydney Clinical Campus) at UNSW Overview This position is part‑time (17.5 hours a week) and is based in Bankstown Hospital, Sydney, within the South West Sydney Clinical Campuses. Opportunity The role will act as the Co‑Director of Medical Student Education at the South Western Sydney Clinical School and support the teaching team across the south western Sydney region. The Senior Lecturer will assist with the administration and development of Phase 2 teaching programs, provide clinical support to the school’s teaching administration staff in the orientation of new students, coordinate Phase 2 programs and examinations. The position reports to the South West Sydney Head of Clinical Campus and has no direct reports. Skills and Experience A degree and/or PhD in a relevant medical field (e.g. MBBS or MD) with medical registration in Australia, and/or relevant work experience. Possession of Fellowship from a relevant medical college. Demonstrated commitment to staying up‑to‑date with disciplinary knowledge and developments. Experience in teaching and learning design using a range of pedagogical approaches, and development and delivery of courses and programmes at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level. Evidence of teaching effectiveness and a passion for educational excellence and fostering this in others. Demonstrated success in initiating curriculum development and improvement. Evidence of ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and support student equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives. Demonstrated track record in research with high quality and high impact outcomes, and clear evidence of leadership potential in research.
