Key Responsibilities Lead the development and implementation of Multi‑Tiered Systems of Support tailored to SIDE’s unique context. Coordinate restorative and trauma‑informed case management across the school. Drive whole‑school responses to diverse student needs through effective intervention, monitoring, and reporting. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support student wellbeing and academic success. Oversee academic intervention programmes and pathway planning using a data‑informed approach. Support, develop and facilitate teacher professional learning and pedagogical practices aligned with inclusive education. A negotiated teaching load is part of the role. Desirable Skills & Experiences Proven leadership in inclusive education and case management. Strong understanding of culturally responsive and trauma‑informed practices. Expertise in coordinating school‑wide interventions and support systems. Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills. Critical thinking, flexibility, and a strength‑based approach to problem‑solving and innovation. Desirable Knowledge Reporting to Parents – Special Educational Needs (RTP‑SEN) Planning. Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD). Disability resourcing and documented planning. As a recognised leader in blended education in Australia, SIDE models exemplary practice in the use of both synchronous (Webex) and asynchronous (Moodle) platforms of instruction. SIDE has a dedicated training and support program for staff who join our school. Our practice is contemporary and constantly evolving, making SIDE an exciting and dynamic place to work. All teaching staff and members of the Leadership team are expected to participate in our regional travel programme to meet the needs of students and partner schools. Visits are planned in negotiation with staff, and at times may include short‑term stays in regional and remote locations. SIDE has a main campus in Leederville and teaching facilities at Canning College, Clarkson Community High School, Northlake Senior Campus and Eaton Community College.
