Corporate Risk Officer – Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) Are you a curious, proactive, and driven professional with a passion for making a difference? The APVMA is seeking applications for a Corporate Risk Officer who will contribute to the delivery of Governance, Risk and Assurance functions and outcomes. Located in either Canberra ACT or regional Armidale NSW, you will gain experience in the Australian Public Service, have access to flexible working arrangements, and take on a range of operational responsibilities that will advance your career in corporate risk. Key Duties of the Position Working under limited direction, the Corporate Risk Officer will work as part of a small team in a multidisciplinary environment, possess an outcome‑focused mindset, embody a proactive approach to achieving results, and exhibit strong professional ethics and judgement. Supporting a culture across the agency which advances the agency’s aspiration to be an exemplar of good governance within the Commonwealth public sector. Contributing to the development and maintenance of an appropriate suite of plans, frameworks, policies and procedures which support the effective delivery of functions for which the team is responsible. Supporting the adoption of innovative approaches and change which improves the delivery of the team’s functions. Eligibility Demonstrated experience in supporting processes and projects relating to enterprise risk, quality management and/or legislative compliance functions. Demonstrated experience working as part of a team in order to effectively deliver services/functions and achieve outcomes for which it is responsible. Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a rapidly changing environment, while applying strong organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail to consistently deliver high quality outcomes. Sound written and oral communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain productive working relationships across a range of stakeholders. Demonstrated research, analytical, critical thinking and problem‑solving skills. Demonstrated ability to self‑motivate, work independently and display initiative and confidence. #J-18808-Ljbffr
