About the Role As a Procurement Officer, you’ll support end-to-end procurement, contract management, tendering processes, and supplier engagement. You’ll be the reliable engine room keeping systems updated, documents accurate, and stakeholders informed. One part guardian of compliance, one part trusted advisor, one part quiet achiever making the organisation run smoother than anyone realises. This role sits within the Finance & Procurement branch and works closely with buyers, contract managers and suppliers across the organisation. Key Responsibilities Deliver end-to-end procurement processes, from drafting tender documents to finalising contracts Provide procurement, tendering and contract management advice to internal stakeholders Prepare clear, concise reports and procurement documentation Maintain procurement and contract systems, including data accuracy, updates and integrity checks Manage the Supplier Portal and Procurement Support inbox Coordinate tender advertising, notifications, panel management and contract execution Monitor compliance with legislation, procurement policy and internal procedures Conduct internal audits and review integrity reports Support ongoing improvement of procurement tools, systems and frameworks Provide training, guidance and support to staff on procurement processes What You Bring Qualification in procurement, commerce, accounting or related field — or solid hands‑on procurement experience Experience in procurement, tendering and/or contract management Knowledge of local government procurement frameworks (or an eagerness to learn quickly) Ability to provide accurate, informed advice to a diverse stakeholder group Strong document preparation skills, including tender and contract drafting Readytech/open windows experience is mandatory.
