About Us Sippy Downs Family Clinic is a well-established, community-focused GP practice providing high-quality primary care to patients of all ages. Our friendly and professional team of doctors, nurses, and administrative staff are committed to delivering comprehensive, patient-centred healthcare in a supportive environment. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working both independently and collaboratively, and who understands the importance of accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance in a healthcare setting. Qualifications & Experience Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within a medical or allied health practice. Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, medium-volume environment. Intermediate Xero Accounting, MYOB skills, including payroll processing and BAS preparation. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Experience with Medicare billing, EFTPOS reconciliation, and medical software such as Best Practice, PracSoft, or Genie (desirable). Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with clinicians, patients, and external providers. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and meet end-of-month deadlines. High level of discretion, privacy, and confidentiality in handling sensitive information. Australian work rights are essential. Tasks & Responsibilities Patient and client invoicing, payments, and reconciliations Accounts payable and receivable Fortnightly payroll BAS preparation and lodgement Creating invoices in Xero Accounting Software Medicare and private billing reconciliations Financial reporting and support for management as required General administrative and reception support when needed This position is part-time (three days per week) , with a negotiable commencement date based on the successful applicant’s availability.
