Job Title Assistant in Nursing – Acute Aged Care Employer NSW Health – Northern Sydney Local Health District Employment Type Permanent Part‑Time Position Classification Assistant In Nursing Remuneration $26.93 – $29.55 per hour Hours per Week Up to 38 Requisition ID REQ Where you’ll be working 9E, 30‑bed Acute Aged Care ward with an 8‑bed acute dementia unit catering to patients aged 85+ with complex conditions such as Alzheimer’s, dementia, delirium, behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD). What you’ll be doing Provision of support to the nursing team in order to deliver a high standard of care to NSW Health patients. Qualifications Currently enrolled in second or third year of a Bachelor of Nursing or degree deemed appropriate; or current enrolment in Diploma of Nursing (HLT54121) with evidence of completion of Block 1; or completion of HLT33115 III in Health Services Assistance (Assisting in Nursing Work in Acute Care). Demonstrated, effective written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to work in a team. Compliance This is a NSW Health Category A position which requires immunisation and screening for certain diseases.
