ABOUT THE ROLE We're seeking a visionary Senior Manager Engineering to join Cricket Australia's dynamic Technology team. In this senior leadership role, you'll drive engineering excellence across the organisation, champion modern full‑stack JavaScript (.js) frameworks and cutting‑edge AI‑powered development tools like Cursor, Lovable and Windsurf. You will lead and inspire distributed engineering teams, shape our technical strategy, embed best‑in‑class engineering practices, and foster a culture of innovation, learning and continuous improvement. In close collaboration with senior leaders and cross‑functional teams, you will ensure the delivery of scalable, secure and forward‑thinking digital solutions that power the future of cricket in Australia. Inspire and grow teams: Lead, mentor and scale high‑performing, inclusive engineering teams across multiple locations, fostering continuous learning and innovation. Champion best practices : Set and uphold high standards in software development, architecture, testing and deployment, ensuring scalable, secure and maintainable solutions. Accelerate with AI: Integrate and advocate for AI coding tools (e.g. Cursor, Lovable, Windsurf) to boost productivity, code quality and delivery speed. Collaborate for impact: Partner with senior leaders and stakeholders to align engineering outcomes with business goals, while managing resources and ensuring compliance. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or a related field; postgraduate qualifications are highly regarded. Extensive experience (6+ years) in full‑stack engineering, with deep expertise in .js frameworks and leading geographically distributed teams. Proven ability to build cloud‑native development environments, with strong knowledge of IaaC, DevOps and secure coding practices. Demonstrated success in integrating AI‑enabled coding tools and orchestrating LLM and multi‑modal systems for scalable, efficient solutions. Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a commitment to innovation, continuous improvement and inclusive team culture. WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
