Sylvania Waters Tennis Centre is a passionate tennis centre in the Sutherland Shire which is dedicated to encouraging people of all ages & standards to participate in playing tennis. We pride ourselves on delivering high quality tennis lessons, competitions, tennis camps and court hire at a premier venue. As SWTC continues to grow we are seeking a self driven and experienced Sports Development Officer to join our team and play a key role in developing the future of tennis within our community. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Program Development Training Drive the development and growth of tennis programs at Sylvania Waters Tennis Centre Lead tennis training sessions for students of all levels, focusing on skill progression Design and implement skill enhancement training exercises to improve overall student/athlete performance Implement strategies toincreaqe student participation, retention and progression Mentor and support out tennis coaches to deliver engaging, effective lessons. Collaborate with management to design programs. Sports Development and Community Engagement Build partnerships with local schools, sporting clubs and community groups Organise competitions for our players and surrounding community Coach & mentor students and athletes, focusing on technique and sportsmanship Support students and athletes in reaching their training goals through structured assessments Promote and expand tennis programs in the community Encourage participation of new students by running introductory programs and outreach initiatives. Event coordination and Administration Assist in planning, organising and coordination of events such as junior competitions, adult competitions, tournaments and holiday camps. Help train junior and assistant coaches Supervise players during competitions and events At all times maintain a positive and supportive training environment Ensure compliance with safety regulations Requirements Minimum 2 years experience in Tennis coaching, sports program development or sports coaching A diploma or certification in physical education, Sports Management, Sports Science or related field is highly regarded. Strong background in racquet sports with experience in coaching tennis and training various skill levels, ages and abilities in structured training programs Ability to train players for participation in local and national tournaments is preferred Strong administrative skills, organisational skills and excellent with event planning Great communication and leadership skills with the ability to inspire and mentor #J-18808-Ljbffr
