Disability Support Worker – Melbourne (Inner Eastern Suburbs) Promote participant independence with a trusted mental health and disability service provider. 24/7 residential/outreach support – dual diagnosis & challenging behaviours. SCHADS Level 3. ($48.31‑$51.81p/h includes 25% casual loading), plus PM & weekend loadings and salary packaging opportunities. About The Role We assist & support individuals (consumers) in their own homes and community to develop skills and abilities to gain independence to complete day‑to‑day tasks. Our goal is to enable rather than do, to promote independence, development and confidence of the individuals. Our success will enable them to have the voice and choice to thrive in their local communities. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment and are confident in thinking creatively and making quick, informed decisions. We’re looking for a proactive role model who can connect with others by building rapport through shared interests. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a range of behaviours and demonstrate strong communication skills. Responsibilities Provide 1:1 or 2:1 support for consumers in residential, SIL and community settings Meet the consumers’ needs according to established behavioural support plans Develop professional relationships with consumers, their care team and others in the community Provide accurate and timely case notes so that others can provide a consistent experience for consumers Support consumers to work towards their individual goals Role‑model and engage consumers to participate in daily activities We are currently hiring for casual positions (view to permanency) in the SE suburbs of Melbourne. This is a 24/7 programme with potential shift times of 6 am–2 pm, 2 pm–10 pm, and 10 pm–6 am. The ideal candidate will be available for a range of morning shifts. It is a requirement of this position to meet all compliance requirements concerning NDIS Work Screening, Working With Children’s Check, work rights and possess a current & valid driver’s licence.
