Peoplebank is exclusively partnering with a leading healthcare technology provider operating across Australia and New Zealand to recruit a hands‑on Head of IT. This organisation builds software solutions supporting the pharmaceutical and health services industries and is undergoing a significant uplift in technology, cybersecurity, and IT operations. Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a practical, high‑impact role where you will lead the IT function, manage day‑to‑day operations, and drive critical programs like ISO 27001 certification, while mentoring a small team. What you’ll do Lead the full ISO 27001 program: gap analysis, remediation, ISMS implementation, and audit readiness Manage support day‑to‑day IT operations, including cloud (Azure), on‑prem infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity Deliver hands‑on technology projects: ERP upgrades, system integrations, and infrastructure improvements Oversee IT support, SLAs, and service quality across the business Manage vendors, contracts, and IT budgets Strengthen disaster recovery and business continuity plans Coach and develop your small IT team, actively contributing to technical problem‑solving What we’re looking for Proven experience leading an organization through ISO 27001 certification Strong technical expertise across cloud, infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity Comfortable being hands‑on, delivering projects and solving technical challenges Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skillsCommercially savvy with experience managing budgets, vendors, and IT contracts This is a rare opportunity to take full ownership of an IT function in a dynamic, high‑growth SME.
