Fairholme Aquatics Centre | Learn to Swim Teacher & Pool Office Administrator Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the Range escarpment in Australia's Garden City of Toowoomba, Fairholme College is one of Australia's leading independent girls' schools with more than eight hundred students from Kindy to Year 12 and over two hundred boarders form part of the total enrolment. Fairholme students enjoy outstanding success in academic pursuits (close to 95% of Year 12 students proceed to tertiary studies each year), as well as in sporting, cultural and service activities. From the establishment of our predecessor school in 1908, through the move to our current location in 1917 and into the 21st century, Fairholme seeks to maintain a student enrolment split 35/65 between country boarders and Toowoomba day girls, as well as a strong commitment to quality single‑sex girls' education. A College of the Presbyterian Church of Queensland, Fairholme is committed to creating a caring Christian community where all we do is undergirded by our Christian faith. Fairholme Aquatics Swim School delivers an aquatic education program with a strong emphasis on sound swimming technique. Swimmers progress through an 8‑level curriculum, based on quality rather than quantity. Skill development is promoted by allowing swimmers to practice skills learned during their classes and extending them as they master each new skill. Our goal is to have children graduate from our program with good skills and competency in every stroke, and to be able to demonstrate the rules and turns for each of the four strokes. Classes are available in the following categories: Levels 1 to 4 Levels 5 and 6 Beginner Squad and Mini Squad Infant and Preschool coaching qualifications would be highly desirable. This is a casual position working morning, afternoon classes and school holidays. There may be an opportunity to work some school hours. Applicants must be willing to work Saturday mornings.
