About the role Selectability is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to cover the role of general manager – Mackay from 20 October 2025 to 02 November 2025. This leave‑coverage role requires an individual with strong leadership skills, strategic thinking and a commitment to improving mental health services. The acting general manager will work closely with the executive team, stakeholders and community partners to ensure that Selectability’s services are accessible, innovative and aligned with diverse needs. The acting general manager will be responsible for overseeing operations across Mackay, Bowen and Sarina. About you To be considered for this rewarding role you will have: strong leadership skills and a commitment to Selectability’s values of accountability, commitment, compassion, innovation, integrity, positivity and respect ability to build and maintain relationships with employees, stakeholders and community members excellent communication skills both verbal and written including presentation skills highly developed analytical, problem‑solving and numerical skills including the ability to compile, analyse data and prepare reports a demonstrated high level of attention to detail with a consistent approach a demonstrated ability to prioritise conflicting priorities as required Role requirements Relevant tertiary qualifications in psychology, social work, mental health or a related field (highly desirable) Demonstrated experience in mental health, NDIS and community services (highly desirable) A current minimum P1 C‑class Queensland driver’s licence A positive notice (Working with Children) (blue card) (or the ability to obtain) A current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or the ability to obtain) NDIS Worker Orientation Module, Quality & Safety & You completion certificate (or the ability to obtain) About the offer The Acting General Manager – Mackay is a full‑time fixed‑term position from 20 October 2025 to 02 November 2025.
