About Worongary Medical Centre | Central Gold Coast Worongary Medical Centre is an AGPAL-accredited, mixed‑billing general practice located on the Central Gold Coast. We are seeking an experienced Practice Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operations of our busy practice. Key Responsibilities Oversee day‑to‑day administration and reception operations. Lead and coordinate the medical and administration team. Staff management including recruitment, onboarding, training, rostering, performance appraisals, and fostering a positive team culture. Manage accreditation standards and coordinate preparation and processes for AGPAL accreditation. Financial management including Medicare batching, private billing, debtors, and daily banking. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant legislation and ensure compliance with Medicare, ATO, WorkCover, and other statutory bodies. Essential Criteria Previous experience as a Practice Manager or 2IC in a General Practice setting. Strong knowledge of current accreditation standards and Practice Incentive Payments (PIP), including MyMedicare. Sound understanding of the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS), including DVA billing. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a high standard of professionalism, ethics, and attention to detail. Experience using Best Practice clinical software. Position Details Flexible role: part‑time or full‑time (4–5 days per week). Role can be tailored to include Practice Manager and reception duties. Training in Best Practice software and ongoing support available from the current Practice Manager.
