The Role We are seeking a highly capable and commercially minded Senior Finance Business Partner to join Yarra’s Corporate Services division. This key position will act as the strategic finance partner to a designated Directorate, with regular exposure to the CEO and Executive Team. You will be responsible for influencing financial decision‑making, driving performance and sustainability, and supporting long‑term financial planning and analysis. Reporting to the Coordinator, Budget and Business Support, you’ll embed yourself within the Directorate, proactively building relationships and visibility across teams. This role demands strong business acumen, a collaborative mindset, and confidence engaging with senior stakeholders. Travel across Council’s sites in Richmond, Collingwood and Clifton Hill will occasionally be required. About You You’re a confident communicator and CPA/CA qualified finance professional with demonstrated experience in partnering with senior leaders to deliver strategic financial advice. You’ll have deep expertise in budgeting, forecasting, long‑term financial planning and reporting within a complex organisation, and bring a proactive and solutions‑focused approach to your work.
