At Orica, we’re looking for a Strategic Sourcing Specialist based in Brisbane to execute end-to-end sourcing activities and deliver sustainable outcomes that support category management principles, mitigate supply risks, and meet or exceed business requirements.In this role, you’ll develop sourcing strategies aligned with global standards, manage supplier relationships, and collaborate closely with stakeholders to keep them informed on progress. Your expertise will ensure compliance, efficiency, and cost optimization across the sourcing process. Apply now and help us shape the future of mining What you will be doing To develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with category and global standards; You will manage end-to-end sourcing processes to meet business requirements and compliance standards; Prepare and analyze RFx processes to support supplier selection; You will create and execute negotiation strategies to secure strong commercial and legal outcomes; To monitor market trends and adjust sourcing strategies to stay competitive; Share market insights with stakeholders to support category strategy updates; Maintain accurate sourcing data and support ad hoc projects as required. What you will bring Experience in mining, oil & gas, or manufacturing industries; At least 5 years of hands‑on experience in strategic sourcing; A degree in law, economics, engineering, supply chain management, or business; Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with SAP S4/HANA and SAP Ariba systems; Strong communication and negotiation skills, with solid business acumen and advanced analytical ability; The ability to work effectively in diverse, cross‑functional, and multicultural teams.
