What you’ll be doing The Sydney Children’s Hospital Network (SCHN) is committed to improving the care provided to our patients in line with our vision of Working together to improve the health and wellbeing of our community. The CHW Engineering and Maintenance Services Department aims to provide high quality customer focused repair and preventative maintenance services to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead and other site facilities to support the safe, efficient and effective delivery of healthcare services. It is also responsible for ensuring Hospital operations satisfy the Government Energy Management Policy (GEMP) and Hospital Assets are managed in accordance to DOH guidelines and Health AMMS (Assets Management Maintenance System) requirements. The position of the Handyman supports the team of Engineering and Maintenance Services staff and is responsible to undertake general maintenance work on buildings, services and grounds and to perform duties as directed that do not require a licence. Such duties include, but are not limited to, replacement of light bulbs and fluorescent tubes, repairing water leaks, cleaning drains and general repairs to building fixtures. About You Has Experience in using hand and power tools. Demonstrate ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
