Regional Coordinator, China Employer: Queensland University of Technology (QUT) Location: Gardens Point, Brisbane, Queensland (hybrid option available) Employment type: Full‑time, ongoing basis Salary: $120,443 to $131,749 per annum (HEW7), comprising $101,775 to $111,330 base salary, 17 % superannuation and 17.5 % recreation leave loading. Key responsibilities Provide input into the development of annual plans for China and the international marketing and recruitment plan through analysis of regional data, review of travel reports and market intelligence research. Organise and coordinate international marketing and promotional activities to increase Chinese international student enrolments, including participation in marketing events, recruitment presentations and building regional business opportunities. Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with partner institutions and recruiting agents, organising, coordinating and attending events, exhibitions, conferences and meetings. Manage recruiting agents with the Regional Manager, ensuring appropriate training, up‑to‑date knowledge of University program offerings, admission and visa requirements and monitoring performance. Represent QUT at recruitment missions, conduct visits and presentations to associated institutions and international agencies. Undertake domestic and international travel, sometimes at short notice. Maintain up‑to‑date, in‑depth knowledge of target markets and identify opportunities to optimise efforts within the target markets. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the provision of high‑level client service. Undertake any other reasonable duties, tasks or projects as directed by the Regional Manager and Director, North Asia in alignment with the objectives of the role and the team. Adhere to and interpret University policies and procedures, the ESOS Act and other legislation relevant to overseas student recruitment activities. What you need to succeed Completion of a degree in Business, Marketing or Public Relations, together with at least four years’ experience in an international marketing role or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, education and/or training. Demonstrated experience in developing and managing effective marketing activities from planning to implementation in an international environment, including evidence of use of market intelligence and research. High‑level written communication skills and interpersonal skills, including the ability to clearly present, consult and liaise with stakeholders both internal and external, in a professional and culturally sensitive manner. Evidence of highly‑developed organisational, analytical and problem‑solving skills, including the ability to manage time and high‑volume tasks efficiently within competing deadlines. Demonstrated ability to collaborate positively and work effectively in a team environment, ensuring a high level of client‑service focus. Fluency in Mandarin, including demonstrated written proficiency. Benefits Competitive remuneration with 17 % superannuation and 17.5 % recreation leave loading.
