As part of our technology transformation, you’ll be empowered to deliver high-level service to customers, leveraging innovative digital tools and frameworks. You’ll analyse, underwrite, and administer new and renewal business, regularly engaging with the market and collaborating across teams to drive Zurich’s digital ambitions forward. Working within our Commercial Markets squad, you’ll be at the forefront of underwriting excellence, utilising The Zurich Way of Underwriting Framework. You’ll build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and customers, ensuring Zurich remains a trusted partner in an evolving digital landscape. You will also be responsible for the following: Proactively managing renewals and seeking new account opportunities aligned with Zurich’s liability appetite. Implementing underwriting rules, guidelines, and insurance regulations to ensure compliance and quality. Developing and maintaining relationships with brokers to support business retention, acquisition, and cross-sell opportunities. Accurately measuring exposures, analysing risk, quoting, setting coverage, and negotiating terms and conditions. Participating in sales team meetings and market presentations to drive Zurich’s digital transformation. Monitoring underwriting processes and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. Important to your success – let’s grow together We’re seeking a forward-thinking underwriter who thrives in a collaborative, digitally driven environment. You’ll be passionate about leveraging technology to deliver outstanding customer outcomes and eager to contribute to Zurich’s ambition of being Australia’s Leading Digital Insurer. In order to be successful, you will have the following: At least 2 years’ experience in insurance, with exposure to underwriting, sales, service, or claims. Strong knowledge of liability products, industry regulations, and the underwriting lifecycle. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, both internally and externally. Proven ability to assess risk, solve problems, and drive results within required timeframes. A mindset for continuous improvement and resilience in a fast-paced, digitally evolving environment. A business degree and ANZIIF CIP Insurance Qualification is a nice to have. Belong.
