The Head of Data & Analytics is responsible for leading the design, development and implementation and maintenance of critical business intelligence initiatives and projects that will contribute to strategic decision-making across the business.In this role you must develop a deep understanding of the needs of all stakeholders across the business and create actionable insights to improve their effectiveness. You will also regularly analyse market intel and trends to identify commercial opportunities and accelerate performance.Job Description

Key AccountabilitiesProviding technical and strategic leadership in designing, delivering, and supporting business intelligence solutions, including reports, dashboards, data services and implementing improvements to optimise the use of data across the business.Collaborate cross-functionally to develop the BI framework for the business, work closely with all departments to design, develop and ongoing maintenance of data models.Provide expert advice on data management standards, data architecture, and integrated reporting and analytics tools, raising awareness and delivering training to leaders across the business.Promoting a data driven culture by leading initiatives and showcasing opportunities to leverage data, insights and technologies which aid decision making.Works with the development team to design and implement the strategy needed to methodically and iteratively structure, test, validate, and communicate data-driven insights from data availableAct as a single point of reference for BI tool implementation and enterprise data analyticsSupport data governance initiatives and assist with process implementationDeliver and analyse key business performance and operating data to uncover key trends and generate business intelligence insights to drive business growth and optimisation.Strategize and develop the core BI reporting environment and provide holistic visibility of performance through the provisioning of self-service dashboards and reports.Desired Skills and Experience

You’ll Be Expected To:Individually and with Managers, ensure understanding and engagement with vision, purpose, and strategic and stakeholder considerations at Manager and Team levels.Demonstrate advanced levels of competence in leadership capabilities required of the position.Engage, support, motivate and develop capability and potential in others.Attract, retain, and develop talent to complement Blueberry Market’s values and behaviours.Reward and recognise good performance aligned to Blueberry’s values and goals and manage poor performance in a timely manner.Be an ambassador for Blueberry Markets in the market; promote our interests and reputation.Follow our policies, procedures, and code of Ethics and Conduct.Protect our confidential information and intellectual property.Play an active role in your safety and the safety of others around you.Inspire confidence and urgency within the department and across the team for the delivery of timely, high-quality service to internal and external customers.Foster a culture of continuous improvement.Continuously drive agility and flexibility in responding to market and industry changes.Qualifications / Certificates:Tertiary Qualification in Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent relevant experience in statistics, data science, accounting, finance, or other related discipline.Experience in similar BI Manager role, ideally in in a high performing sales and marketing driven business.Extensive experience designing, developing, and implementing enterprise business intelligence and reporting solutions.Advanced knowledge of BI tools and applications.Exceptional communication, presentation and interpersonal skills including the ability to engage with and influence various stakeholdersExperienced in building commercial models to support strategic decision making.Demonstrated experience in BI and data visualisation.Experience in gathering BI requirements and structuring specifications to produce business-relevant datasets.Skills and Experience:Passion to innovate and improve the BI process beyond basic reporting, seeking ways to add value so that the business can consume data more effectively.A self-starter mindset who takes ownership and excels in a lean and fast-paced organisationStrong experience in using Microsoft Office Suite; Excel (Advanced).Experience on a cloud-based big data platform such as SnowflakeExperience within the Financial Services, Banking, or Trading industry.SQL and programming in languages such as Python, R, Java, HTLM etc. an advantage.Salary range for this role will be a base salary of AUD150,000 to AUD180,000 dependent onexperience.Special Considerations for this roleAll appointments are subject to gaining appropriate pre-employment clearances and an ability to retain these clearances throughout the period of employment or engagement.Preparedness to work some out of hours when required.Freedom of mobility to travel when required.About Blueberry MarketsBlueberry Markets is an online broker providing platforms to trade forex, indices, commodities, crypto and stocks.
