HR Business Partner - Maternity Leave Contract Williams Lea is the leading global provider of skilled, technology-enabled, business-critical support services, with long-term trusted relationships with blue-chip clients across investment banks, law firms and professional services firms. About the role: This position will be commencing February 2026. We are seeking an experienced HR professional for this exciting 8-month Maternity Leave Contract role. This position is the sole HR for Australia, managing all HR operations for the Country. Reporting to the Head of HR for APAC you will be required to ensure HR support is provided to the Senior Leadership Team within Australia as well as dealing with all Australia employees. Key Responsibilities: Support Australia all-round HR operations Partner with leaders to provide strategic ER advice to enable performance and foster a positive culture. Handle staff enquiries, grievances and disciplinary cases in accordance with Company’s policies Oversee and support monthly payroll process, employee compensation and benefits Support end-to-end recruitment process from discussing requirements with hiring managers job advertisement creation, sourcing and screening, interview process, offering, placing background check, and onboarding for all business units. Maintain up-to-date payroll data and staff information in Workday Responding to ad-hoc duties and enquiries from supervisor Assist in performing in global projects aligns with global initiatives. Key Requirements: At least 4 years' experience working in HR. Preferably in large multinational and outsourcing companies. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation. Knowledge in local government law and regulation including understanding of Fair Work Act and experience with the Clerks Award. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively. Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint Must be able to pass a police check Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is desirable.
