About the role This role supports Engineers Australia’s influence on engineering matters and member engagement, working closely with the Head of Divisions and Chapters to deliver the international business plan. It ensures governance, service delivery, and collaboration with members and volunteers. Additionally, the role oversees day-to-day facilities operations at the Brisbane office and requires onsite presence. This is a 12-month fixed term opportunity. Location Brisbane, QLD In this role you will: You build relationships with a wide variety of people, internally and externally and an appreciation of cultural differences You are comfortable delivering and hosting meetings and events. You can work successfully across teams, without direct reporting line authority. You demonstrate initiative and accountability; you are efficient, able to organise and prioritise work, garner resources and deliver required outputs whilst tackling multiple tasks. You are a committed team player with excellent interpersonal skills, organisational and time management skills. You have a high level of written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to deliver a message with enthusiasm and energy. You will be able to interact effectively and efficiently with internal and external stakeholder. You bring with you, or are excited to develop, a working knowledge of (non-technical) engineering matters. Ideally you have a background in delivering high quality experiences and services and have experience in at least one of: member or customer service/engagement, STEM, industry engagement or corporate events. Here’s what we’re looking for: Support international chapters through event coordination, communications, financial reporting, and member engagement activities. Foster partnerships across industry, education, government, and community to expand EA’s profile. Collaborate with the Professional Development team and support governance structures for international chapters. Assist global volunteers and office bearers in delivering impactful EA activities and stay informed on engineering-related issues. Manage Brisbane office operations including mail, courier services, equipment support, reception duties, and facilities compliance. Contribute to sustainability initiatives, security systems, WHSE compliance, and records management, including audits and emergency warden duties. *Please refer to the supporting documents to review the full success profile and measures of success in this role.
