We’re continuing to grow our Life Insurance advice team and are looking for an experienced Senior Risk Adviser in our Sydney office who wants a high-impact, client-facing role supported by a strong brand, consistent lead flow, and a deep database of previously quoted customers. The Opportunity This role is an even blend of 50% Client Retention & Relationship Management and 50% New Business Acquisition, supported by a strong database of previously quoted customers. What You’ll Do Client retention & reviews (50%) Conduct regular formal client reviews and manage service requests, renewals, and cover changes Identify appropriate opportunities to enhance or extend cover (within scope and best interests). Educate clients clearly on policy terms, premiums, definitions, exclusions, and optional features / riders. Maintain accurate, audit-ready documentation and CRM records. New business acquisition (50%) Proactively engage a deep database of previously quoted customers to generate new opportunities. Book and run new client meetings : discovery, risk profiling, needs analysis, and strategy development. Recommend tailored personal insurance solutions across Life / TPD / Trauma / Income Protection (and business cover if applicable). Present recommendations in a clear, client friendly way, including trade-offs (cost vs cover, waiting / benefit periods, stepped vs level, etc.). Prepare advice documents where required (SOA / ROA as appropriate) and manage applications through underwriting to policy issue (with para planning support). Build, maintain, and report on your sales pipeline to ensure strong progression and conversion outcomes. Claims & technical leadership Provide claims support for relationship-managed / VIP clients and assist escalated or denied claims. Act as a technical expert for the life insurance division—supporting advice quality, insurer updates, and internal capability uplift. Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to share insights and improve processes and customer outcomes. About You Extensive experience in life insurance advisory sales (new business + retention). Strong commercial discipline and a track record of meeting conversion / retention targets. Calm, ethical, client, first approach with a high standards of customer care Australian work rights and eligibility to provide financial advice in Australia. Why Compare Club?
