The main purpose of the Fire Service Engineer role is to be responsible for maintaining and servicing fire alarm systems and emergency lighting at a large-scale hospital in Brighton, ensuring they meet current standards and customer requirements, while delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication and timely issue resolution. This role involves providing technical advice, conducting routine inspections, and performing repairs, all with a focus on ensuring customer satisfaction and safety across various sites. SALARY Opportunity to earn in excess of £40,000 (This includes base and overtime) LOCATION Site based at a large hospital in Brighton WORKING HOURS Monday – Friday 8-4 (flexibility is required with some out of hours project work) BENEFITS Zero call outs & site based – no travelling long distances Stable, long-term work with a leading global business Company Vehicle Online GP for you and your family Company Pension Scheme (5% employer contribution) Life Assurance (4 x Basic Salary) A Central Benefits Platform offering a wide variety discounts Bravo Awards – Recognising outstanding contributions from all employees and encourage excellence What you will do Conducting Routine Inspections: inspect fire safety systems (alarms and emergency lighting) to relevant British Standards whilst adhering to health & safety requirements Performing Maintenance and Repairs: Planning your own day, you'll be site based, across a large campus Providing Technical Advice: offer guidance to our customers on fire safety best practices and help them understand and comply with fire safety regulations What we look for Technical / Industry Knowledge: This role is working on life safety systems. You will be competent of working on a fire alarm systems, with emergency lighting (18th Edition BS) – electrical wiring – test and inspection Analytical and Problem‑Solving Skills: Ability to assess potential risks and propose practical solutions Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Effective communication to relay information to various stakeholders, customers, and strong interpersonal skills for teamwork and customer service Adaptability to handle dynamic situations and changing regulations Driving Licence Full current UK driving licence At Chubb Fire and Security, we are committed to integrating sustainability into everything we do.
