The ParkHotel is looking for a Sous Chef to work over a 7-day rotating roster including holiday periods. We are searching for someone who is passionate about food and cooking honest pub grub Someone who understands the importance of quality and cooking the perfect Schnitzel or Salt and Pepper Squid whilst being creative and innovative. The role will be providing support and ideas as reporting to the Head Chef playing a key role in the venue's growth and success. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, community-minded, and has a positive 'can-do' attitude. Casual available for immediate start, with potential for a full-time or part time position for the right person A little bit about you... If you thrive in a team environment, are open to new challenges, and enjoy working in a diverse environment, then we'd like to have you on our team To succeed in this role you will need the following skills and qualifications; Minimum three years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen Trade qualifications preferred Modern, contemporary, and innovative culinary skills Knowledge of food and catering trends Considers quality, technique, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation critical to success Delivers a high-quality product that not only meets but exceeds customer expectations Adhere to work health and safety laws, food safety standards, and allergen requirements Monitor costs across portion control, waste minimization, and stock management Ensure a premium and consistent approach to all levels of food and service delivery Able to work autonomously as required and remain calm under pressure to ensure professionalism is maintained Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of peoplesuppliers, customers, employees, and management Have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines in a calm and methodical manner How to apply...
