Senior Commercial Services Officer – QUT Join to apply for the Senior Commercial Services Officer role at QUT (Queensland University of Technology) Remuneration : $135,483 to $153,562 pa (HEW8) inclusive of $114,485 to $129,761 salary, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading. Location : Kelvin Grove (hybrid option available). Open to : Current staff members of QUT with full-time work rights in Australia. Responsibilities The Senior Commercial Services Officer contributes to the successful delivery of the University's commercial services portfolio within Campus Services. The position is responsible for managing service contracts, leading and supporting implementation of commercial initiatives, and ensuring services are delivered efficiently to meet customer expectations. The role focuses on coordinating day-to-day commercial operations, maintaining strong working relationships with service providers and stakeholders, and supporting the delivery of commercial outcomes that enhance campus life and align with the University's objectives. This position reports to the Associate Director, Commercial Services for career planning, development and performance expectations. Qualifications & Experience Postgraduate qualifications or progress toward postgraduate qualifications in a margin-driven commercial environment. Proven success managing or coordinating commercial services, projects, or contracts with strong operational, financial, and client-focused outcomes. Well-developed interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills. Organisational, planning, and analytical skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within tight timeframes. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify business needs, define requirements, and enhance processes. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Experience in financial administration, budget tracking, or cost control aligned with revenue and margin targets. Benefits Healthy work-life balance with on-campus and off-campus arrangements.
