Infrastructure, Assets & Maintenance Lead The Pastoral Pork Company is a leading Outdoor Bred Pork Producer supplying premium branded products under the Otway Pork label . We are situated West of Melbourne, with farms located between Geelong and the South Australian border. We are looking for a technically skilled, hands‑on, infrastructure and maintenance specialist to lead asset care. The Opportunity We’re looking for a technically skilled, hands‑on, infrastructure and maintenance specialist to deliver on asset care and infrastructure projects. Your Core Responsibilities Reporting to the General Manager you will take ownership of all infrastructure and maintenance functions across our farming operations. Your focus will be on ensuring the maintenance reliability, asset integrity and operational readiness of farm infrastructure. You’ll thrive in this role if you’re strategic yet practical, love rolling up your sleeves, and can operate with vision and heart. Conduct and coordinate preventative and reactive maintenance of physical assets, feed systems, huts, fencing, water & pump systems, effluent & waste systems, ventilation, site utilities and farm equipment. Manage and schedule external contractors for specialist works (electrical, mechanical, structural) when required. Inspect site infrastructure, maintain asset registers and maintenance logs, identify defects and propose improvements for senior management approval. Ensure compliance with safety, bio‑security, environmental and operational requirements within company and regulatory standards. Collaborate closely with Production and Farm Managers to minimise down‑time and keep asset performance high. Utilise company‑provided vehicle to travel between site facilities as necessary; you will be hands‑on and on‑site regularly. This role does not require mechanical servicing of on‑road vehicles. What You’ll Bring Significant technical maintenance experience in a production or agriculture environment. Proven capability in hands‑on maintenance and infrastructure oversight (ideally in agriculture/farming or industrial asset environment). A trade‑qualification (electrical, mechanical or equivalent), or skills in boiler‑maker welding will be well regarded. Competent in contractor management, asset registers, maintenance planning and compliance documentation. Strong organisation, problem‑solving and communication skills. Strong negotiation, team collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills. A practical, solution‑focused mindset and a bias for action. Current driver’s licence. Why Join Us?
