Salary and Employment Lecturer (Level B) : AUD $127,947 to $150,830 per annum + 17% superannuation Senior Lecturer (Level C) : AUD $155,403 to $178,290 per annum + 17% superannuation Full‑time 2‑Year Convertible Tenure Track Location: Kensington – Sydney, Australia Opportunity Join the School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering at UNSW as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in a teaching and research role. As a Lecturer, you will develop scholarly research and professional activities nationally and internationally, contributing significantly to teaching and service missions. As a Senior Lecturer, you will establish an internationally recognised research programme and lead industry partnerships, fostering collaborations that drive impactful research and innovative advancements in thermo‑mechanical engineering. Key responsibilities include: Develop and deliver high‑quality undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including online and blended learning. Conduct independent research in thermo‑mechanical engineering of energy systems, focusing on renewable energy and storage technologies. Translate research findings into practical outcomes and contribute to UNSW’s research impact. Build and maintain industry partnerships to enhance research and teaching. Publish in high‑impact journals and present at international conferences. Adhere to UNSW health, safety, and compliance policies. Qualifications Lecturer (Level B) PhD in a relevant field (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Energy Systems). Demonstrated ability in thermo‑mechanical engineering of energy systems, renewable energy, and energy storage technologies. Evidence of translating research into practical outcomes. Experience in alternative delivery models for teaching (online, blended). Strong communication skills and ability to engage a diverse student body. Team‑work capability and interdisciplinary collaboration. Willingness to undertake compliance and supervisor training. Commitment to UNSW health and safety policies. Senior Lecturer (Level C) PhD in a relevant field. Extensive experience in thermo‑mechanical engineering of energy systems, renewable energy, and storage technologies. Track record of translating research into practical outcomes. Success in securing research funding from government or industry. Experience supervising research students. Excellent communication, networking, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Willingness to undertake compliance and supervisor training. Understanding and commitment to UNSW aims, policies, and values.
