Disability Support Worker - Alice Springs (Male) Located in ALICE SPRINGS - this not a FIFO role. Male We are seeking resilient, experienced, passionate and enthusiastic Disability/Mental Health Support Carers with a passion for helping people in the regional areas. You will need previous experience and be comfortable supporting people with Psychosocial and Mental Health Disability. At ISA, we call you Support Mentors as you mentor and work with your clients. The ideal mentor will be friendly, fun and engaging, providing direction to build a therapeutic relationship to successfully assist our clients wiht community activity and life skills. Key Responsibilities Follow a person-centred support plan to ensure client safety and wellbeing are at the centre of everything you do Provide support and assistance with daily living tasks and social activity, including medication prompting. Maintain a high level of progress in note-taking and record-keeping Maintain a high level of integrity and regard for professional boundaries, confidentiality and dignity in the delivery of support Build and maintain positive relationships with the client and their wider support networks. Skills & Experience Previous experience supporting and working with people with complex intellectual disabilities and behaviours Experience in working in regional and remote locations Culturally competent in supporting people who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Ability to think on your feet Requirements You are located in Alice Springs Australian Driver's Licence and fully insured vehicle A Certificate III in Disability / Community Services or relevant industry and/ or lived experience Current First Aid Certificate (Including CPR) NDIS WSC and WWCC Successful candidates will be required to complete other online probity training We are a growing, innovative organisation that champions the work our people do – regular employee recognition awards and incentives.
