4 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants Description We are currently looking for a Workplace Health & Safety Business Partner to join our team for a 12-month full-time opportunity in Maitland, New South Wales. About the Role As our Workplace Health & Safety Business Partner you will work in partnership with the organisation to develop and implement health and safety solutions, policies, and programmes in alignment with legislative requirements. You will promote a culture of safety for all council employees, provide best‑practice advice on WHS initiatives and processes, undertake incident investigations, assist in the development of corrective and preventative WHS actions, and support injury management and return‑to‑work cases. You will also deliver and implement organisation‑wide initiatives to assist Council in managing psychosocial risks and hazards. About You To be successful you will hold qualifications in Work Health & Safety and/or equivalent industry experience, and have previously worked in a similar role. You should possess thorough knowledge of WHS legislation in NSW and have a capability to assist Council in meeting its WHS objectives. You will enjoy working on a variety of projects and initiatives and have a broad understanding of safe work procedures and managing psychosocial risks across a variety of environments, including high‑risk work sites. Benefits This is a 12‑month temporary full‑time role, working 35 hours per week with a salary commencing at $111,958 – $124,273 per year based on demonstrated experience plus 12 % p.a. super.
