Talent International is currently recruiting for an APS5 Finance Officer to work for one of our Federal Government clients based in Surry Hills. The position is a 12-month contract role with the possibility of extension and pays $55.24 / hr + Super. 7.5 hours per day and 38 hours per week About the Role You will support the finance function through lease and asset management, SAP reporting, reconciliations, and compliance. You will also work closely with internal and external stakeholders, providing advice and resolving moderately complex enquiries. Key Responsibilities Manage asset, fleet, and property lease activities in SAP REFX. Review, reconcile, and process new fleet lease contracts, modifications, and terminations. Prepare journals, working papers, and financial reports in line with AASB 16 Leases. Provide monthly lease and expense reports to the Corporate Services Team. Liaise with Property, Fleet, and Services Australia to resolve variances. Support financial statements, audits, and reporting requirements. Draft business cases, reports, briefs, and corporate documentation. What We’re Looking For Studying towards a professional accounting qualification (CPA / CA). Strong experience using SAP. Knowledge of Lease Accounting (AASB 16) (desirable). Experience in SAP REFX leasing module (highly regarded). Why Apply? Work with a high-profile Federal Government agency.
