Mensho Operations is hiring a full‑time Finance Manager in Melbourne, VIC. As a strategic and hands‑on finance leader, you will manage end‑to‑end finance operations, streamline processes, provide strategic insights, and support executive decisions. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you’ll be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, payroll, compliance, and reporting functions across all venues. Key Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of financial operations: accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting. Develop and manage budgets and cash‑flow forecasts to support operational planning. Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports for management review. Lead implementation and improvement of internal accounting systems and processes. Ensure timely compliance with ATO, GST, BAS, payroll tax, and other regulatory requirements. Coordinate with external accountants/auditors for tax submissions and end‑of‑year reporting. Collaborate with department heads to monitor and control expenses, margins, and KPIs. Leverage accounting platforms such as Xero, Fathom, or similar to maintain accurate records. What We’re Looking For Master’s degree in Professional Accounting or equivalent (preferred). CPA or CA (or working towards completion). Minimum 5+ years of relevant finance experience, including at least 1 year in a senior finance or management role. Proven success in roles requiring full‑scope financial oversight. Advanced knowledge of accounting software (Xero, Fathom), Excel, and business reporting tools. Experience with time‑keeping and rostering software. Solid understanding of Australian accounting principles, compliance standards, and payroll systems. Hospitality or service industry experience is desirable, but not required. Soft Skills High attention to detail and analytical thinking. Proactive communicator who thrives in fast‑paced environments.
