Key Responsibilities Develop detailed mechanical designs and drawings using Autodesk Inventor. Manage and control the lifecycle of design data using Autodesk Vault. Prepare and maintain BOMs using Autodesk Vault PDM. Design pressure vessels in compliance with ASME and AS codes. Create and maintain technical documentation, including BOMs, change requests, and ECO. Carry out and review engineering calculations to ensure consistency with SMARDT's design intent and applicable codes. Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues during manufacturing. Provide assistance to production regarding design and BOM queries. Generate calculation sheets and perform classical engineering calculations. Create 3D models, 2D drawings, Bills of Materials, work instructions, and technical and commercial proposals as required. Other duties as required. Qualifications / Experience / Skills Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (essential). To be a Chartered Engineer (CPEng). Proficient in designing shell-and-tube heat exchangers. Expertise in designing sheet-metal and structural components. Well-versed in designing HVAC systems. Adept at conducting thermal analysis. Experience with ASME and AS Pressure Vessel Codes is mandatory. Familiarity with ASHREA / ANSI / ASME codes and design requirements desirable. Experience with ASME (UHX) and TEMA for pressure vessel and heat exchanger design required.
