About the role We are offering a permanent role of Child and Family Practitioner in the 4Families team at our Mandurah – Davey Street office. In this role, you’ll work alongside children and young people (0-18) and their families to provide compassionate strengths-based support. The position focuses on promoting well-being and offering early assistance to those who may be experiencing, or at risk of mental health challenges. This may be in a case management role, individual support to the parent(s) or counselling of the child. The current vacancy is 3 days per week on a Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Skills, experience, and qualifications Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences and/or Counselling Significant practical experience in working with children and families Demonstrated case management and care coordination experience Knowledge and skills in working with people in crisis and in managing people with challenging behaviours. Knowledge and understanding of prevention and mental health issues Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of domestic violence and/or child maltreatment and protection issues Why Join Us?
