Infrastructure Planner – Hydraulic Modelling Focus BetterAIM is a specialist infrastructure and asset management advisor supporting councils, utilities, and ports across Australia. We're seeking an Infrastructure Planner with strong hydraulic modelling experience to join our growing team. We are open to applicants seeking either a casual, permanent, full or part time position. Given the nature of the role, we are open to applicants based in any state in Australia. About the Role You’ll work with our advisory and digital teams to: Build, analyse and validate hydraulic models to support clients in their planning decisions across a range of flow and operational scenarios. Support the preparation of infrastructure planning reports, capacity assessments, options analyses and investment prioritisation studies. Interpret and present modelling outcomes in a clear, actionable way for clients. Contribute to multi-disciplinary projects linking asset data, risk, and planning outcomes. Fully remote role - high flexibility. About You We're looking for someone who brings: Must have demonstrated experience in wastewater modelling preferably using the Bentley SewerGems application. A minimum of 2-3 years experience is required. Experience in water and stormwater modelling and/or advanced data and spatial analytics. An ability to assess water, wastewater and stormwater network performance and risk is highly regarded. A background in civil or environmental engineering, infrastructure planning, or related discipline. Strong analytical and report writing skills. Familiarity with local government or water utility environments (desirable). Australian work rights are required for this position. We will not accept applications from people residing overseas.
