ES Design are in search of an enthusiastic and proactive building designer to join our growing team. You'll thrive in our collaborative environment, contributing to a range of multi-residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your role will encompass all project stages, from initial design concepts to the development of construction drawings. We're looking for a candidate of exceptional dynamic, adept at managing projects, and eager to tackle challenges. You'll have a strong desire to expand your expertise across various areas including concept design, documentation, contract administration, quality control, project management, and client relations. Attention to detail and reliability are paramount. Develop architectural projects aligned with the firm's needs in all phases: preliminary study, draft project, and executive phase. Coordinate project development and approval with authorities. Consult with engineers and other technical professionals. Submit plans to local authorities and ensure compliance with Australian standards. Produce detailed drawings for DA, CDC and CC Packages. Document standard specifications for construction finishes. Interpret architectural drawings and specifications. Develop and implement work strategies for sites. Ensure compliance with building regulations and standards. Arrange building inspections with local authorities. Negotiate to meet project deadlines and budget constraints. Attend meetings with clients and consultants inhouse and off site. Resolve functional and technical design-related issues with practical solutions efficiently. Assist with ad-hoc tasks as needed by team members and management. KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Solid grasp of design principles. Revit experience of minimum 3 years with concept to detailed documentation. Understanding of the National Construction Code of Australia (NCC) and Australian Standards. Ability to collaborate effectively within project teams. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Punctuality and ability to adhere to deadlines. Motivation to continually learn and grow with the business and industry. Building effective working relationships with suppliers. Liaising with designers, builders, and contractors. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Critical thinking abilities with a keen eye for detail. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in architecture. Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a building designer. General Construction Induction White Card. #J-18808-Ljbffr
