The Opportunity We’re looking for a skilled and self‑motivated Workshop Mechanic to join our team based in Caboolture. As the standalone onsite Mechanic, you’ll be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of our plant, machinery, and equipment to ensure they remain in safe and reliable working condition. You’ll work closely with construction crews and supervisors to support operational needs, while managing your own day‑to‑day priorities. Although this is a standalone role, you’ll be well supported by our experienced workshop team in Sydney, who will provide initial training, technical advice, and ongoing remote support whenever needed. You'll also be a key part of our vibrant Greater Brisbane team, so while you’ll be the key mechanic on site, you’ll never be working without backup. Key Responsibilities Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mobile plant and machinery such as winders, associated cages, robotic cutters and other specialised equipment (we will provide you with the training required) Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently Coordinate parts ordering and inventory as required Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with safety standards Liaise with supervisors and construction crews to minimise downtime and plan repairs effectively About You Trade qualified Mechanic (light vehicle, heavy vehicle, plant mechanic, auto electrician, maintenance fitter, fitter and machinist, or similar) Enjoys taking ownership of your work, solving problems independently, and keeping things running smoothly Comfortable using and navigating a computer with basic Word and Excel skills Positive team player who communicates well and takes initiative Safety‑focused with a commitment to quality workmanship Current driver’s licence (HR or higher desirable but not essential) To make sure that you’re fully fit to join our team you will be subject to a pre‑employment medical (including a drug & alcohol test).
