Base pay range $310,000.00/yr - $360,000.00/yr An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Senior Legal Counsel with real estate experience to join a leading global owner developer in the renewables sector with a focus on APAC and North America. The successful candidate will join an outstanding legal team and collaborate directly with world‑leading engineers, data scientists and renewable‑energy pioneers who are powering a clean energy future. If you’re passionate about renewable energy and complex transactions, then this role could be for you. Position Description Reporting to the General Counsel, you will work closely with other senior in‑house counsel and business leaders globally. This is a senior, hands‑on position that combines both strategic and transactional responsibilities. You will: Lead the negotiation, drafting, and execution of complex acquisition agreements, ground leases, long‑term power‑enabled leases, and purchase & sale agreements for greenfield and brownfield data center sites across North America and future international markets Structure and negotiate build‑to‑suit agreements, colocation leases, hyper‑scale lease transactions Assist with project financing and joint‑venture agreements Oversee zoning, land‑use entitlements, permitting, and incentive negotiations Provide strategic legal advice on interconnection rights, easements, rights‑of‑way, and co‑location of energy infrastructure Collaborate closely with the Development, Finance, Energy, and Executive teams to align real estate strategy with corporate growth targets, capital raising, and reporting obligations Build and manage relationships with external counsel and local stakeholders, mentor junior legal team members Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will bring: 10+ years’ post‑qualification experience gained in a leading law firm and/or in‑house environment Strong background in property, real estate law (energy, infrastructure, digital infrastructure, or renewables highly advantageous) Broader experience in commercial, corporate, or procurement matters would be highly regarded Commercial, pragmatic, and confident advising executives in a public‑company environment Current Australian practising certificate (or eligible); dual US/Australian qualification a strong advantage Additional Benefits Competitive remuneration package (upwards of $280,000 + super) Hybrid working arrangement (3 days in office) Premium Sydney CBD offices Genuine career advance opportunities Contact Please contact Morgan Elder at , or call for a confidential discussion.
