Our key areas of operations include Retail Banking, Wealth Management and Global Private Banking. In this role, you will be responsible for contributing towards the protection of IWPB (International Wealth and Premier Banking) and its customers. This role provides key support to the Head of Fraud Management, leading our efforts locally on money mule detection and prevention along with the provision of advice and SME knowledge across the business to a variety of internal stakeholders. This role would initially be specific for Money Mule prevention and detection however there may be opportunity to contribute towards broader fraud and scam prevention, detection and response activities. Your main responsibilities will include: Play a key role in mule disruption initiatives relating to current and emerging typologies. Define the technology, people and processes required to execute activities related to money mule disruption. Liaise with internal stakeholders including Digital, Financial Crime, Product and CX teams and act as a Subject Matter Expert in relation to Money Mules. Conduct deep‑Dive intelligence analysis into mule cases, identifying cash outs, impacts and perpetrators. Strong stakeholder management and commercial acumen to work closely with all stakeholders including regional and global Fraud counterparts, investigation teams, internal Product managers, customer advocacy and complaints, along with external Fraud technology vendors. To be successful in this role, you will need: Bachelor’s degree in a Finance and/or business‑related field. Knowledge of money mule prevention and detection techniques and a desire to become an expert in this space. Ideally, experience delivering fraud tools or capability enhancements, realising benefits. Commercially focused with experience of contributing to the delivery of impactful strategies within a complex, multi‑faced environment. Excellent communication skills (verbal and writing) as well as developed interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to communicate and influence at all levels of an organisation; building engagement and able to present complex information in a structured and balanced manner. Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian PR/Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship, or who can demonstrate current unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.
