Retail Buyer

Overview ZIMMERMANN has an exciting opportunity for a highly analytical and commercially driven Retail Buyer to join our dynamic Buying team, playing a key role in shaping our global product strategy across Swim & Resort, Kidswear, and Menswear. This role is responsible for building compelling, performance-led ranges in partnership with Design and Merchandising, informed by market research, trend insights, and global retail objectives. With ownership of OTB management and end-to-end buying across international retail and digital channels, you will drive the success of each collection through strategic assortment planning, pricing analysis, and in-season optimisation. Working cross-functionally with Planning, Production, Logistics, Marketing, Digital, and our global retail network, you will ensure our product offering is competitive, brand-aligned, and strategically positioned for growth. The role combines creative product understanding with strong commercial acumen, influencing product decisions through regular reporting, forecasting, and collection performance analysis. Job Responsibilities Range building of select product categories in consultation with Design and Merchandising Providing regular analysis and feedback to creative teams Researching international market and trends to remain competitive and identify areas of opportunity and demand by market Reviewing and aligning of product strategy in consideration of business performance, company strategy and global market analysis Identifying new product lines and / or categories that can be introduced into the existing product mix OTB management for select product lines across international retail and digital profile Collaboration with Retail Planning team on OTB and stock management, store allocations and replenishment Sales and stock optimisation across all retail and digital locations Weekly forecasting to recommend reorders based on business needs, trends, stock and in season OTB management Partner with cross functioning teams; including but not limited to Retail, Wholesale, Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Production & Logistics Seasonal collection analysis to understand performance and help structure forward buying strategies Job Requirements Minimum of 4-5 years' experience in Retail Buying Experience within a large retail organisation, ideally with a profile of 50+ stores Strong knowledge of the luxury market, product and trends Experience working directly with an in-house design team Ability to confidently present to and direct design teams accordingly Strong analytical skills Ability to work efficiently and autonomously Job Benefits Work with high-end fashion alongside a passionate team Bespoke development plans and access to strong mentors and industry leaders Ongoing Training & Development opportunities to grow your career within Zimmermann Generous Employee Discount Opportunity to progress your career within an Australian global luxury brand, including international opportunities If you are looking for the next challenge in your career, please share your application with our hiring team.
