We are seeking skilled and passionate Sushi Chefs to join our dynamic kitchen team and contribute to our reputation for excellence. Position Overview The Sushi Chef will be responsible for the preparation and presentation of high-quality sushi and sashimi dishes, ensuring every plate meets the restaurant’s exacting standards of artistry, taste, and consistency. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a deep respect for Japanese culinary traditions, and an eye for modern fine‑dining aesthetics. Key Responsibilities Prepare and present sushi, sashimi, nigiri, maki, and other Japanese dishes to an exceptional standard. Maintain the highest levels of food quality, freshness, and hygiene. Select and handle premium ingredients, particularly fresh seafood, with expert precision. Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to design seasonal sushi menus and special offerings. Ensure proper inventory control, storage, and minimal wastage. Uphold kitchen cleanliness and adhere to all food safety regulations. Interact with guests when required, providing insights into menu items and enhancing the dining experience. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in sushi preparation techniques. Qualifications & Experience Minimum 3 years of experience as a Sushi Chef in a high‑end or fine‑dining Japanese restaurant. Strong knife skills and knowledge of traditional Japanese preparation methods. Understanding of modern plating and presentation techniques. Familiarity with food safety and HACCP standards.
