Our wonderful Main Office Administrator is moving on to grow her own business, and while our hearts are a little heavy, we’re bursting with pride for her. She’s kept our office running like clockwork, ready with a solution for every challenge. So now we’re officially looking for our new superstar Business Support – Main Office Administrator to own our front desk, elevate our customer experience, and keep our Cairns HQ running like a well‑oiled machine, and to own the front‑of‑house experience, set the tone for professionalism, and be a key player who keeps our operations flowing This isn’t your average reception role — this is the central hub of our business.If you’re sharp, proactive, organised and love being the person everyone relies on… we want you. About the Role You’ll be the first impression of Norship — welcoming clients, supporting internal teams and ensuring our operations run smoothly. Your day will be varied, fast‑paced and full of responsibility. You’ll take ownership of: Client & Visitor Experience Greeting clients and managing all enquiries with warmth and professionalism Maintaining a professional and inviting atmosphere in reception and shared spaces. Issuing site/work area access and supporting safety procedures Administration & Office Coordination Answering, screening and directing calls and emails Managing daily mail, registers and documentation Ordering and monitoring office and front‑of‑house supplies Preparing reports, quotes and general correspondence Assisting operations with finance and administrative tasks, monthly reconciliations and invoicing Tracking and dispatching marina and pilot passes Security & Compliance Processing site access inductions Monitoring Gallagher reports Supporting Defence Security (DISP) administration Promoting and encouraging WHSE compliance every day If you love being trusted with responsibility, this is the role for you. You bring: Experience in a fast‑paced reception, admin or front‑office role (2+ years ideal) Excellent communication and a polished, professional presence A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset — you don’t wait to be asked The ability to prioritise, multitask and stay calm under pressure High attention to detail and natural initiative A commitment to continuous improvement, safety and quality Experience with basic accounting functions Certificate III in Business Administration or higher Exposure to Defence or security‑related administration Why Norship?
