About the role The Account Manager plays a key role in driving commercial growth and strengthening relationships within Pivotel’s Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS) portfolio. The role is responsible for acquiring and managing wholesale and reseller customers, identifying new business opportunities, and expanding Pivotel’s footprint within the Australian and regional markets. In this role you will Develop, manage, and grow a profitable sales pipeline across the CPaaS portfolio. Manage a portfolio of wholesale and value‑added reseller (VAR) accounts, ensuring strong relationship management, retention, and growth. Build and execute tailored account plans aligned with each customer’s business objectives and market opportunities. Identify and convert new business opportunities through proactive engagement, cross‑selling, and up‑selling. Conduct regular account health checks to ensure customer satisfaction and mitigate churn risk. Collaborate with Product, Technical Sales, and Marketing teams to develop customised solutions and deliver competitive commercial outcomes. Provide insights into market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to support the Wholesale strategy. Maintain accurate records of opportunities, forecasts, and activity reporting using CRM tools. Represent Pivotel at industry events, partner meetings, and conferences to strengthen brand reputation and network reach. Ensure regulatory and industry quality and compliance processes are followed, and minimise regulatory breaches. The Account Manager will have a customer‑centric mindset and play a critical role in improving Pivotel’s brand awareness and brand image in the market. Reporting to the Head of Wholesale you will be part of a dynamic sales and marketing team focused on building Pivotel’s business in Australia and the Region. The role may require domestic intrastate and interstate travel. About you Bright, friendly, helpful with a positive nature A team player with a high level of professionalism and customer focus Previous experience with voice and messaging solutions, including number hosting and call termination, or similar telecommunications knowledge highly regarded. You are an “outside of the box” thinker and prepared to leverage proven channel experience and challenge the status‑quo You conduct regular account health checks to retain existing customers and identify potential growth areas You can build and maintain lasting strategic relationships across the market. You will be commercially savvy and collaborative, with the ability to partner closely with our Product and Technical Sales Engineers to deliver customised solutions to our customers. You will be a strong communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills to engage and build rapport both internally and externally, including with the Executive Leaders within organisations.
