Sport4All Inclusion Coach – Port Stephens Employment Term: Fixed term 18 months Reports to: Sport4All State Manager NSW/ACT Desired Candidate Profile A person who has disability or lived connection to disability Strong connection with their community Passionate and motivated to build confidence of community sport clubs and schools to include people with disability in all aspects of sport (playing and non‑playing) Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are strongly encouraged to apply About Get Skilled Access Get Skilled Access (GSA) is a Disability Inclusion and Accessibility Consulting organisation founded by Dylan Alcott OAM in 2016. GSA partners with clients to provide genuine, tangible, and engaging experiences that drive inclusion, productivity, and profitability, creating sustainable change towards an equitable and dignified experience for all. About Sport4All The Sport4All (S4A) Program is commissioned and funded by the Federal Government to build inclusion capability in community and school sport. Using the Sport4All website and resources, the Inclusion Coach will help sporting clubs and schools become more accessible and inclusive for people with disability. About Port Stephens City and Council Port Stephens is known for its natural beauty, wildlife and strong community spirit. The Worimi people are the traditional owners of the area. The council values inclusive, sustainable social, environmental and economic outcomes. Role Overview The Inclusion Coach is employed by Get Skilled Access in partnership with Port Stephens Council and will be part of the Vibrant Places Team. The role involves building relationships with sporting clubs, schools and community groups, promoting the Sport4All program and supporting the implementation of inclusive sporting practices. Key Responsibilities and Activities Develop a connection with First Nations organisations and the sporting community within your region Connect and work with the Get Skilled Access Sport4All Team to understand and achieve the S4A program goals Engage clubs and schools with Sport4All training and resources Create a plan for contacting and maintaining connections with sporting clubs and schools for reporting purposes Support employees with opportunities to learn about disability, accessibility, inclusion and sport Contribute to S4A program meetings to monitor goal attainment and measurement Create positive relationships with sporting clubs and schools to bring them into the program Support clubs and schools to work through the Sport4All program Help clubs and schools connect with other relevant organisations to achieve inclusion goals Check in, assess, and support sports clubs, schools and organisations to create more inclusive sporting opportunities for people with disability Support schools and clubs to deliver inclusive sports activities, such as sessions and workshops Promote the Sport4All program and educate community groups about the benefits of sport for people with disability Share opportunities for people with disability to participate in all sporting activities, including First Nations people Explore the sporting needs of people with disability within the local community Keep records and data up to date on the clubs, schools and organisations that complete the Sport4All Program, and record the participation of people with disability in the community Empower sporting communities to better include people with disability, including First Nations people, in sport Essential Skills, Knowledge and Qualities Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders involved in the Sport4All Program Effective communication across multiple channels (face‑to‑face, email, phone) Strong written, public speaking and facilitation skills to promote inclusion in sport Passion and motivation, with the ability to work independently and resourcefully Experience connecting with grass‑roots sporting clubs Experience connecting with teachers, school leadership and school staff Planning and organising travel and trips around the local community Organised, able to manage administrative tasks and use technology for meetings, e‑mail, phone, and data recording Proficiency with computer programs to collect and maintain data on Sport4All connections and inclusive opportunities Time‑management skills to prioritise tasks and sustain communication with clubs, schools and organisations What You Can Expect from Working with Get Skilled Access and Port Stephens Council Flexible working arrangements that allow you to work in hours suitable to you, both from home and from identified partner office premises Opportunities for professional development and training A supporting and positive work environment that values diversity A real sense of work‑life balance Other Relevant Requirements May require travel within NSW May require work outside ordinary hours, including evenings and weekends, to attend meetings and events Conditions of Employment Right to work in Australia (Australian citizen, permanent residency or visa permitting work in Australia) Must notify Get Skilled Access if right to work ceases during employment Current Working with Children Check (employee) Holds or ability to hold a satisfactory National Police Criminal History Check prior to appointment (must be provided before commencing) Our Take Home Message Get Skilled Access is a Disability‑Owned Business Enterprise (DOBE).
