Job Description We are seeking a junior legal counsel to provide expert legal support across the Hassell group. In this role, you will work closely with the Company Secretary / General Counsel and Senior Legal Counsel on a variety of legal matters. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience and develop your career within a supportive team. Key Responsibilities Draft, review, and negotiate various agreements, including consultancy, NDA, project contracts, deeds of novation, certificates, joint venture agreements, premises lease agreements, and supplier agreements. Conduct legal research and prepare advice on national and international issues. Maintain records of material agreements. Report legal risks promptly. Advise on legal developments and their impact. Support project teams on claims, disputes, and debt recovery. Assist with additional legal matters as required. Qualifications Holds a current Australian Legal Practice Certificate. At least 2 years of PQE. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. A proactive and collaborative approach to work. Demonstrated commercial acumen. Ideally some knowledge or interest in built environment projects. Excellent analytical, research, and problem‑solving skills. Commitment to ethical conduct and professional integrity.
