We are currently seeking an experienced hands‑on Assistant Accountant to join the Finance and Business Services team on a full‑time basis. The successful candidate will be working closely with the Finance Manager and a small team. You will play an important support role in assisting with the smooth operation of accounting and finance functions for the company. This 2‑year contract role offers a hybrid model of work from home and in‑office. ACHS is committed to diversity and social inclusion. Key Responsibilities Preparing and processing assessor payment and international money transfer Ensuring the accuracy of financial record‑keeping and accounting Reconciling general ledger and bank accounts Fixed asset maintenance Reconciling debtor/creditor accounts, debt collection and attending to internal and external inquiries Assist with daily and month‑end processing, reconciliation, and reporting Assist with year‑end processing, financial audit and various projects Selection Criteria Tertiary qualification in accounting or finance Minimum 3‑5 years experience in similar roles Strong Excel skills and excellent computer literacy Knowledge of Accounting Standards and finance related principles Experience with integrated accounting and payroll systems preferably SAP Business One and Sage MicroPay Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills Excellent time management skills with an ability to prioritise and meet deadlines Good communication, interpersonal and self‑management skills Team player, exhibits flexibility for different tasks and willingness to learn Excellent planning, time management and organisational skills Ability to work both independently and unsupervised, and as part of a team Experience in payroll and Micropay Experience in BAS, GST, FBT return This is a 2‑year contract role, based in Sydney, with a hybrid work from home and attendance at the office arrangement. #J-18808-Ljbffr
