Purpose of the role Human Resource Services is responsible for providing professional advice and support to regional and state office managers and staff across the employee lifecycle including employee entitlements, Human Resource (HR) systems, establishment management and local recruitment and selection. The team also contributes to the design, development and delivery of HR initiatives, policies and resources to ensure compliance and best practice in alignment with whole-of-government, departmental and business unit needs. This fast paced role is part of the recruitment team leading end to end recruitment services for non operational, executives and other key roles across the state. Working in the team of recruiters, you will be responsible for managing a high volume of recruitment activities including engaging with stakeholders, designing advertisements and data management. Key requirements Highly desirable requirements Knowledge and / or experience in contemporary HR management and best practice. Your key accountabilities Provide timely and quality advice and support to employee and manager enquiries, to ensure effective application of HR policy, procedures and resources. Demonstrate strong attention to detail and delivering results within given time frames Ensure the effective and compliant use of HR systems and program governance through user training, validation of documentation, establishment management, and records management. Maintain knowledge and awareness of HR practices, systems and resources to ensure compliance with current legislation, awards and departmental policies, procedures and standards. Liaise and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand business needs and ensure activities are delivered in a timely and efficient manner. Contribute to HR capability across the workforce through the design and implementation of (online and face to face) procedures, guidelines and resources, including recommendations for continuous improvement. Assist with the preparation of documentation and reports to support governance, compliance and evidence-based decision in accordance with departmental requirements. Participate in projects and working groups to ensure outcomes are delivered within agreed timeframes and meet business and client’s needs.
