Compliance Manager

We are a CRICOS provider delivering VET courses who is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Compliance Manager to take ownership of our compliance obligations. This is a hands-on role requiring both strategic thinking and operational expertise. You will be responsible for ensuring and maintaining full compliance with: Standards for RTOs 2025 ESOS Act 2000 and National Code 2018 PRISMS reporting obligations ASQA requirements and audit readiness CRICOS registration conditions This role reports directly to the CEO and works closely with academic staff, administration teams, external consultants and a training and assessment committee. Key Responsibilities Regulatory Compliance Maintain comprehensive knowledge of VET sector regulations (Standards for RTOs 2025, ESOS, National Code) Monitor legislative changes and implement necessary policy/procedural updates Ensure CRICOS compliance for international student cohort Manage PRISMS reporting and maintain accurate student records Prepare for and coordinate ASQA audits and regulatory engagements Quality Assurance Oversee validation and moderation processes for assessment tools Conduct internal audits of training and assessment practices Review and update policies, procedures, and forms to ensure compliance Monitor trainer and assessor compliance (qualifications, currency, competency) Implement continuous improvement strategies Identify compliance risks and develop mitigation strategies Maintain risk register and compliance calendar Investigate non-compliance incidents and implement corrective actions Manage complaints and appeals in accordance with regulatory requirements Training & Reporting Train staff on compliance obligations and procedural changes Prepare compliance reports for CEO, Board, and ASQA Maintain comprehensive audit trails and evidence files Coordinate external validation and quality audits Student Administration Oversee international student reporting (PRISMS) and monitoring Ensure accurate maintenance of student records and attendance Manage critical incidents affecting international students Coordinate with Student Support services on compliance matters About You Tertiary qualification in Education, Business, Law, or related field Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in RTO compliance or quality assurance role Thorough understanding of Standards for RTOs 2025 Experience with ESOS Act, National Code, and PRISMS reporting Proven experience managing ASQA audits or regulatory engagements Strong understanding of VET training packages and assessment validation Excellent written communication and policy development skills High attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities Proficiency in student management systems (VETtrak experience highly regarded) Highly Desirable TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent) Experience in a multi-campus or international student-focused RTO Knowledge of hospitality, business, or security training packages Experience implementing compliance frameworks from the ground up Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies Previous experience working through rectification or remediation processes Personal Attributes Proactive and solutions-focused approach Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines Commitment to ethical practice and quality outcomes Team player with leadership capability What We Offer Competitive salary package ($85K-$110K + super, negotiable) Professional development opportunities and ongoing training Supportive team environment Ability to work autonomously How to Apply Please submit your application including: #J-18808-Ljbffr
